Rules and Regulations

ALAQUA UNLEASHED
PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS

Hours of Operation: Dawn – Dusk. Persons who choose to use Alaqua Unleashed Park, as a condition of use, agree to the following rules:

  • It is recommended that dogs be spayed or neutered.
  • No female dogs in heat allowed.
  • Dogs must be healthy, vaccinated, and with current rabies tags. Bordetella, Distemper
  • and Lepto vaccinations are strongly recommended.
  • Choke or prong collars are not allowed in the off-leash area.
  • Puppies less than 6 months are prohibited.
  • Limit of three dogs per household each visit.
  • No animals other than dogs are permitted in the park area.
  • No glass containers, smoking, alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or firearms allowed.
  • No jogging, bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, strollers or scooters allowed in the park.
  • Children under 12 years are prohibited from entering fenced dog park area.
  • Children under18 years must be accompanied by an adult and should not run, chase dogs, or pet other people’s dogs unless permission is granted by the owner.
  • Children are not allowed to bring toys into the Park.
  • Dogs must be on leash and under control by their owners/handlers at all times when outside of fenced park area. When entering the dog park, remove your dog’s leash only within the safety gate area.
  • Dog park gates must be closed immediately after entering or exiting the park.
  • Owners/handlers must discourage their dogs from running to meet other dogs at the gate and must remain inside of fenced area, with leash in hand within control of their dogs at all times.
  • Owners/handlers must immediately clean up after their dog(s) and properly dispose of waste. Plastic bags and garbage cans are available on the premises.
  • Owners/handlers must stop their dogs from digging and immediately fill any holes dug.
  • For the safety of the smaller dogs, dogs 25 lbs and up are welcome to use the large dog play area.  Smaller dogs under 25 lbs. are welcome to use the small dog play area.  This is a safety precaution for the smaller dogs.  Even if your small dog interacts well with big dogs, separating the sizes helps keep predatory behavior to a minimum.
  • Dogs are often prone to possession aggression when food is present. For everyone’s  safety, please do not bring dog treats, rawhides chews or human food within fenced area.
  • Dogs can be prone to possession aggression over toys.  Only tennis balls are permitted in the fenced “ball fetch” area and allowed for interaction between well-managed dogs.
  • Dogs showing aggression toward people or other animals must be leashed and immediately removed from the park by owners/handlers.

As on all playgrounds, accidents happen. These regulations are put in place for the safety and protection of all visiting pets and their handlers.  Following these regulations will help keep accidents to a minimum but there are no guarantees that an accident won’t occur.  When a bite or accident happens on the Unleashed property, bite/accident incidents reports will be completed and kept on file with Alaqua Unleashed management and all bite incidents will be reported to animal control.

Enjoy your stay at Unleashed park, make some new friends and create wonderful memories!
